may bluebirds dance in your soul

Our bluebird house which had never housed bluebirds was in dire need of repairs. The sparrows had been hard renters. Hubby went to work, taking it apart, putting it back together, and then back on the post. The very next day I spotted this inquisitive fellow on our fence very close to the bluebird house. He must have seen the For Rent sign and was checking it out. Bluebirds are very picky renters, you know. Well, I'll let you know if it met his approval. I'd be honored if he'd fly Mrs. Bluebird in to start a family in our house, but if he doesn't, I guess I'll let the sparrows move back in. I don't have the heart to scoot them out.

Just a little bluebird to add to the collection on Blue Monday at Smiling Sally's.

Either bluebirds or sparrows would be delightful to watch!

I adore bluebirds and had no idea they were picky renters. A few years back my son built a birdhouse at church. Last year we painted it (I adding polka dots) and attached it to a favorite pecan tree of ours. We have a little bluebird family in it right now!! They are so delightful to watch! That makes my little bird home even more special, knowing that it was chosen so carefully! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Marsha,
Blue birds are so pretty but I'm sad to say we don't get them here on the Island. I hope he and his missus move right in. Happy Blue Monday!

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello Marsha, I love bluebirds but they don't visit us much. What a job repairing the birdhouse. I hope you get a bluebird renter. BIG smile.
