Pumpkin People

Beginning of fall reminds me of the year we visited Maine and NH. The leaves were beginning to turn. Colors of autumn were all around.
But some of the funniest sites we saw were in a charming little town called Jackson, NH. Just about everyone in town dressed pumpkin people like these pumpkin pickers above.
and these pumpkin people are indulging in ice cream sundaes - pumpkin flavor, I'm sure!
Oh, and aren't they a lovely couple!
Ooops...this guy is losing an eye!

This fisherman is even wearing waders.
Oh my, the city even lets pumpkin people work on the roads!!

One of the things I like about fall is driving to pumpkin farms and seeing the artsy and silly displays. Is this a Midwest thing or do they grow pumpkins out West and down South as well?

What fun! Can you imagine the citizens of this town trying to outdo each other every year? I think the road workers worked on the roads around here....

I would love to go to New England in the fall to see the gorgeous colors. Always been a dream of mine. That top photo is a stunner! But then I saw the rest and couldn't decide which I liked the best. Those pumpkin people are great!
