cloche party, fall tables, and other easy fall decor ideas

I started out taking photos for Marty's Cloche Party and, well, one thing led to another. Before I knew it, I was setting my table for Susan's Tablescape Thursday and decorating for Cheri's Celebrate the Holidays so here you have it - Three for the price of one! LOL!

I'm so glad Marty said we could expand our cloche post to apothecary jars and other containers filled with pretties since I didn't even know how to spell cloche till I started seeing all of your pretty ones. I did buy me one or two since though. ;=)

I know we are all short on time so here's an idea for those who have more to do than decorate for fall (like blog, for instance). Just stuff some fall garland in a container like this one and play around with it till you get it the way you want it to look. I've stuffed them in containers with lids too and it looks great.

I added these ceramic pumpkins for an even more fallish look. I painted these myself and I'll show you how I did this at another time. The dark fall colors didn't show up very much on my dark stained table so I made this simple table runner out of muslin and trimmed it with jute.

Here's another easy decorating tip. (I know I'm getting off track!) Just set a pretty pumpkin on a stack of books. How easy is that?!

Now all you have to add are some fall napkins secured with leaf napkin rings, pretty fallish plates and cups. hmmm...if I only had some pumpkin bread!

On my breakfast table, I placed my only cloche over one of my favorite cake plates from Southern Living, added some brown transferware, bamboo placemats and a candleholder and I'm all set.

In my glass etched cloche, I stuffed a cute little birdie, a pumpkin, wheat branches and some fall leaves on a layer of moss.

On my kitchen counter, I have my large apothecary jar filled with moss and planting bulbs. What's more fallish than planting bulbs, right?

I love the shape of this apothecary jar, don't you?

Now, moving on into the gathering room, I filled this pretty little thing with coffee beans and a candle. Oh, I wish you could smell the autumn fragrance. SO NICE!

Wait! There's more. In my bathroom, My cotton swabs are always handy in a crystal biscuit keeper...

...my bath water flakes in a wine decanter and a sweet smelling candle rests in a Waterford seashell.

and my soaps are handy in another crystal container on the other side of the tub.

Well folks, that's all I can find at the moment, but I'm sure as soon as I publish this post, I'll remember another pretty little jar or something I wanted to share with you so until next time... blessings, Marsha

Marsha,

You have done some lovely things with your cloche, apothacary jars and glass containers. Lots of inspiration here and that is what the party is about, right?!

I love how your said, "Just STUFF the garland right in the dish"!!! Oh, I love those sort of directions because that is how I operate. No finesse at all! lol!!

I like so many of the original ideas you have, the candle in the coffee beans, pumpkins on books. Nice ways to scatter Fall reminders throughout the house!!

Great post!! :-)
