New Year - New Baby!

Long time - no blog! Way too long. I've got a good excuse though. You see, along with the new year came a new baby! As you can imagine, we've been very busy at our house.

Going from being empty-nesters to live-in grandparents of a 15 month old AND new born is interesting to say the least! During my short windows of free time, I find myself heading for the bed instead of the computer these days. :)
Meet baby brother, all 8 pounds and 4 ounces of him!
This little guy was welcomed with open arms at our house. As you can see, big brother is drooling with excitement!
Yes, they are beginning to bond and plan future shenanigans. I think big brother is already whispering little boy schemes in his ear.
Dad was able to see his new son arrive and hold him in his arms.
He was able to hold big brother too and quickly say goodbye.
Before returning to his country's duty on the same day of his new son's birth.

Oh Marsha Sweetie...
How wonderful a new little bundle to share you love with. He is just as sweet as he can be. I can smell that new baby already. Love the expression on Big Brother's little face as he gazes on with amazement. Yes, I would say your hands are full, but with so much Love. How precious.

I will be keeping DAD in our prayers for a safe return to you sweetie. He has so much to come home too. I know it was hard for him to say good-bye. God Bless Him.

Keep us updated with beautiful pics. He is a cutie patootie...
Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Oh, how sweet!!! Congratulations!

I'm so happy daddy was able to be there for his birth and to hold him! Seeing big brother with the little one reminds me of that cereal commerical where the big brother asks "how long is she staying" :)

Happy New Year, Marsha!!

What beautiful babies! Congratulations on the new one. Thank your son for his service for all of us. I'm glad the family has you to be there to help during the time apart. It's hard work raising babies alone and it's hard work being a military wife.

Marsha! Congratulations my friend! We have so much in common! I also have my son, daughter in love and three of my grandchildren living with us! One was born with us, he us just 4 months old... I laffed when I read what you said about heading to bed when you get a few moments instead of the computer! Amen Sister, me too! I'm learning now to balance my daze. And just when I think... noise what noise? They are looking for a home to rent... but that's good news, it means they are back on their feet again and ready to face life just the 5 of them... Take it easy... You are making a difference in the world and raising good children who become wonderful adults!

Hi Marsha,
Happy New Year and congratulations on your new grandson. The same thing happend to my Nephew, he was deployed when his first baby girl was born and did not see her until she was 4 months old and then just a few months ago he was out on assigment and arrived home (at the hospital) within minutes of his second baby girls birth. He is now now his 3rd tour overseas with the Marines. I will keep your Son in your prayers along with all the young men servering our Country for us.
May all your dreams come true this year.
Big hugs,
Elizabeth
