a fresh look
The best part of spring cleaning besides the obvious which would be getting things clean, of course, would be the fresh look of things. I can go all year and see my surroundings, but never see them. You know what I mean? But when I take the time to spruce up, I see my little treasures in a new light.
I can add a touch of the season while I clean.
I can make a game of cleaning and it’s not drudgery anymore. Well, almost not.
(Recognize the starfish? Oh yes, they’re from our friend at Tales from an OC Cottage. Aren’t they gorgeous!)
Light my candles to show off a new clean glow.
Flick on the light and enjoy the new sparkle.
And after everything’s spic-n-span clean, make it easy on myself and put a roast in the crock pot to cook all day.
My family loves a rump roast sprinkled with one package of Lipton’s onion soup mix and one can of cream of mushroom soup. Add to that potatoes and carrots and salt and pepper to taste. It couldn’t be easier and more delicious.
I’m sharing with Marty and others at Table Top Tuesday and Lisa’s Tempt My Tummy Tuesday.

Oh I want some of that roast and potatoes. That looks delicious. Love your sparkly little chandy! I need to be spring cleaning instead of visiting blogs. laurie
So true about appreciating all our little "pretties" when we spruce things up for Spring! I really like that candle-tree on your wall and the chandelier is gorgeous!

Ok, now I'm hungry again and it's after ten.
Yep, it's pillow fluffing time all over blogland. Soooo fun!
Oh I love all your pretties! They look beautiful arranged together like that.
Don't you just love the feeling you get from spring cleaning (even though it's a chore)?
Dinner sounds delicious! I'll have to try that one.
After I've done a really big clean, I love to sit all by myself. I guess I'm trying to capture the image and feeling before the girls get home and it falls apart!
I enjoy your site. Such neat ideas you have. I"ll be following your blog.
Take care-
Yummmm, I love that recipe, so easy and delicious.
Your 'pretties' look so clean and pretty. My only wish, is that my pretties wouldn't need cleaning again after cleaning all of them..... I'm being greedy.
I love your star fish arrangement, so pretty!
Sounds and looks yummy! That is the way I use to make a roast - usually chuck or English cut. Have not done that in years. I need to get off the computer and get some cleaning done.
You are too sweet! But who has eyes for anything but that roast! YUM!!
m ^..^
isn't that just like spring to see things in a whole new light? o.k. i can smell and taste your crock pot goodies......yumm-meeee! spring-time in tn! love it!
I love your pretty vignette with the starfish, birdnest and shells. So pretty and that chandelier is stunning. Now as for the roast, when can I come to dinner. It looks just wonderful. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty
I agree! Spring Cleaning rejuvenates your home! Add in a slow cooker full of a hearty meal and you have a wonderful day!
I'm still on Spring break from my Spring cleaning but when I get back I'm sure I will be ready to go at it again! And my slow cooker is home and waiting!

I know what you mean, but I still don't like to clean. Your dinner looks yummie!
Love how all your photo's turned out just beautiful!
Hugs,

there are few things more satisfying than hearing and seeing a person delighting in their work...which becomes their joy.
Oh, wow, never thought to add mushroom soup...and I've made a lot of pot roasts! Great idea - thanks!
I love fixing a roast like that. It is the best. Yours looks yummy! I have been spring cleaning most of the winter. My basement was a total mess. Love & blessings from NC!
