We had some great weather recently for a change. When the sun comes out, I'm ready to follow suit so we enjoyed an afternoon strolling down Main Street.
We have one of those picturesque main streets with the interesting little shops propped in old quaint buildings and the beautiful old colonial type homes from the 1800. I don't think I'd ever tire of walking on Main Street. It feels like you've strolled right into a Norman Rockwell painting.
We strolled past old churches with interesting architecture
and intricate stained glass windows,

What?! It's only 90 calories!

What beautiful homes and the church is just so pretty. I love to wander down beautiful tree lined streets with old homes and history. Just gorgeous. What a treat. Hugs, Marty
I could certainly have used the toboggan on that front porch last month! Lovin' it.

What a lovely Main Street. I would love to live in a neighborhood like that.

Oh...the house with the wrap around porch. It has my name on it!! And I wouldn't mind living in the home with the beautiful wrought iron fence. Just lovely, Marsha!

Love old neighborhoods like that. What a great, old, ornate iron fence. I am looking forward to making a trip to Franklin this Spring and walking the historical downtown area again.
It was so nice of you to take us strolling in that neighborhood. I loved the wrap-around porches, the old churches, and think I'll stop at Starbuck's and purchase a hot white chocolage. It is cold here in Illinois.

Such fun.
Glad you shared Main Street USA.
Really neat!

Marsha, you live in such a pretty area!
I've seen many cottages in Denver, Colorado that looked like the houses you've shown. I never tire of taking photos of them when I visit.
Starbucks is always a nice treat!
it is absolutely so much fun for me to see your great photos of our little town!! i know exactly where you were from each picture! i just love Main Street and especially that house on the corner with all the cool stuff on the porch. I remember it was on a house tour years ago, but i think it had a different owner. well, i don't know about you, but i'm looking forward to warmer weather...60 degrees on saturday (they say)! thanks for the tour!
Love your Main St USA series of photos. I'll have to try that Starbuck treat.
The photos are like taking a step back in time till you get to the Starbucks :) Love the photos because they feel relaxing.
That looks like a charming and quaint place to live. I love that first photo, great shot! It isn't a neighborhood without Starbucks. I will have to try the skinny cinnamon dolce latte, it sounds good. Have a wonderful day! Denise
thanks for the tour I enjoyed taking a look around
I loved your post. Your main street looks like a movie set! Except for the Starbucks.
I could look at that lattice all day, I probably wouldn't get too far on my walk. Just beautiful.

I love the photos of your houses. That is so my thing! What a nice walk. Your photography is lovely too. And I giggled at your occupation...mine is the same.
Fun strolling along with you on Main Street!
Kindly, ldh
What lovely photos! You live in a beautiful town!
What a picturesque place to live! I love towns like that.

Mmmmmmmm that sounds yummy~
Beautiful street views~ very similar to our little 'antique' village... no Starbucks though, just a lil' coffee shop and an ol' fashion diner that are never open in the mid-afternoon :(
If I'm at a Starbucks in the near future (my daughters love it there) I'll keep in mind that skinny cinnamon dolce latte!
have a sweet weekend, Marsha!
