Love it when a plan (TING) comes together!

Yep, they’re UP!

Last fall, cigar man and I planted 90 tulip bulbs!

Well, I mostly took pics of him planting, but I guess you could say I helped.

This week we reaped the rewards of (our) labor.

Aren’t they beautiful?

Certainly worth the effort!

Changed the look of the mosaic below by using an off white texture layered on top of the mosaic above and changing the setting of the texture to Saturation.

Love playing around with these layers! You can find the texture I used at Flickr. It’s by Cosi.

I’m sharing with some beautiful mosaics at Mary’s Mosaic Monday and amazing transformations at Susan’s Met. Monday; although, I’ll have to give God the credit for this metamorphosis!! J

I love tulips!! Yours are gorgeous. Thanks to hubby for all his hard work. The only thing about tulips is that they don't last very long. They are beautiful, though. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I always love your mosaics. I am going to have to learn how to do that.
Love & blessings from NC!

Your tulips are beautiful. I wish that I could remember to plant bulbs, but I always forget. At least I can enjoy yours.

Beautiful! I should have planted some, but knew that the resident squirrels & chipmunks would eat them as fast as they have eaten everything else that I planted over the years.

I love tulips! Sure wish they were around longer. I have passed some flower beds lately that are beautiful with tulips in with pansies. Wanted to take pics, but traffic was heavy and would have had to pull in a parking lot and stand on a street corner to take pics.. :-) I may try again in the next day or so.
Have a great week.

They are beautiful! I was just thinking this week that I will probably have to plant some new bulbs. The ones I have now were planted about 10 years ago and are few and far between now. I'd love to get some of the new colors out, too.

The tedious work of planting so many bulbs always turns into a smile of satifaction in the spring.
Love what you did with the second mosiac Marsha and the tulips are beautiful.

So pretty! You are very lucky -- we can't grow tulips here because the deer eat them! Thanks for sharing your beautiful tulips at MM. :)

I'll have some photos of mine next week. :)

Simply beautiful! I have wanted to plant bulbs every year for the past five years and always forget. Your blooms are so pretty - thanks for sharing! Have a great week!

Those are so pretty. I love your mosaics. Ninety of them is a lot. I planted some a few years ago and all that came up was the stalks and no flowers. I probably planted them upside down or something.

The tulips are beautiful. You and Cigar Man do good work together. :)

Good on you (and Cigar Man) for planting all those bulbs! I have not an inch of land myself—which is why I'm so grateful to have an entire botanic garden (where they've planted thousands and thousands of bulbs) just a few blocks from my place!

So pretty. I do love tulips. I'm still waiting for the ones I planted last fall to open up. They are a bit slow, but I can see the head forming. I loved seeing your photography! I must learn how to do mosiacs so I can join in on the fun!

Your tulips are gorgeous and worth the work it took to plant them.

Kim, Cigar Man knows his gardening and I did a tutorial on planting bulbs in large quantities. Just click on the pink letters, "planted 90 tulip bulbs" in the post.
Naturegirl, you have pictured him so correctly!!! hehe!

I love tulips and I can't grow them here successfully ... usually we don't have a cold enough winter! I'm not one to plant every year! I'll enjoy yours!

Sarah said...

Love, love, love tulips. I haven't planted any in years, but plan to next year. The last time I planted tulips I planted several hundred only to have them bloom while we were on a vacation out of the country. That was not good plan(ting) on my part. Thanks for sharing your yellow tulips. Beautiful!
