~repurposed old frame~

bedroom entrance

I have a new collage

in my bedroom.

Come on in ~

I’ll show you!

But first let me show you the original frame.

frame

Picked this up at a garage sale for a mere couple of bucks. It actually was in worse shape before I took this photo. It was literally falling apart, but Cigar Man was able to tack and glue it back in one piece.

process Next step was to paint it. I used Rust-oleum Universal Metallic spray paint in “oil rubbed bronze”.

close up I liked the new color but it was a little flat so I touched it up with FolkArt acrylic paint in Metallic Antique Copper.

finished frame at an angle My 60% off custom framing coupon from JoAnn’s came in handy. I took my $2 frame that I’d applied $6 paint and had a mat cut for my grandbabies pics.

Their photos were taken in our back gardens; so I love that the collage is hanging by the window with a view of just that.

It looks perfect on that wall, and so cool it's the wall on the side of the house with the garden the grandbabies were photographed. And they are soooo very cute!

Wonderful!! And you have such a beautiful bedroom!

I may just have to paint the frame I have this color. It was black, I painted it white but I think it's the wrong color for the wall and it's very similar to yours . . .

Marsha, You did a wonderful job with this frame. I LOVE the finish you chose for it against your blue walls. What a lovely contrast. Your bedroom is beautiful and luxurious!
But the best part are the darlings in the frame. So adorable!

What a beautiful frame! It looks lovely in your room. And thank you for telling us the brand and colors you used. It's always so frustrating to know you've seen a color you love, but have no idea what it is.

Love your big bed and that cedar chest is to die for. Is that a family one you have inherited???

Hi Marsha,
Your frame turned out GREAT!. I love to reuse old frames. New ones can be very costly. The grand-babies photo's as so sweet in the new frame. Nothing like our grand-kids to bring a smile to ones face.
Have a wonderful day, hugs~Elizabeth
