Cake and Coffee?

I know this doesn't look like a tablescape. First, let's make the cake to go on the tablescape. Here's the recipe.

Lemon Pound Cake
1 1/2 cups plus 2 tbs. cake flour
1/8 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
9 tbs. unsalted butter
4 oz. cream cheese
1 3/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
5 tbs fresh lemon juice
finely grated zest of 1 lemon

Have ingredients at room temperature. Position rack in lower third of oven; preheat to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a bread pan. Over a sheet of waxed paper, sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In bowl of electric mixer fitted with flat beaters, beat butter and cream cheese on medium until creamy, about 30 seconds. Gradually add 1 1/2 cups sugar; beat until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Increase speed to medium high; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; beat in vanilla and 2 tbs lemon juice. Reduce speed to low; add flour mixture in 3 additions, beating each addition until just incorporated. Fold in zest. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. 70-75 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack; let cool 15 minutes. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk 3 tbs lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar until sugar is dissolved. Set rack over waxed paper; turn cake out on to rack. Brush warm cake with glaze. Let cool completely. Serves 8-10.
I doubled my recipe so I could have one to eat and one to give for Easter.
Oh, and I made mine in this loaf pan I bought from William Sonoma, but you can bake in a bundt pan or loaf pan.

There! Didn't it turn out nice? I've set my buffet with 2 different patterns of vintage dishes. I've enjoyed using them together many times since they both feature the same delicate pink roses. I found the pink pitcher (marked with Germany on the bottom) at an estate sale and thought it would go well with my dishes. My napkins are embroidered with rose colored flowers in soft green meadows. Can you sit awhile and enjoy some lemon pound cake and coffee with me? Then stroll over to Susan's at betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com for the other tablescapes.

That's for the wonderful cake and coffee. Like the color of the green platter in the first pic and the napkin. I enlarged that pic to see all the detail.
