And that's just what we did at our friends open house/wedding reception last weekend. I'd love to share a few photos with you at White Wednesday and Outdoor Wednesday.
The cake on the greet table was the cake Mike had made to propose to his lady. Isn't he romantic, girls?
Many of their friends came to wish them well.
Oh, I just had to throw in this photo of the man of the hour and my hubby. Hubby doesn't dress up too often so I wanted proof that he actually does sometimes. Now tell me, don't they look like models in a Sears catalog?! HA!
And here's the lady of the hour doing last minute preparations. By the way, she made all the tasty buffet items herself and everything was simply wonderful.
Wasn't this setting in their backyard breathtaking ?
Everyone had a great time...

and young at heart!
Come by tomorrow and I'll show you the gorgeous buffet and beautiful tablescapes.

BTW, you can see what I gave them here and get some gift-wrapping ideas for yourself. You know, Christmas is just around the corner. EEEK!

What a gorgeous setting! It looks like it really was a wonderful time for everyone! And, I love that sentiment. We DO need to "spend" wisely, we may have other days, but each one is so important. Your photos were wonderful!

Red and orange mums look great together. I love them. Your photos turned out lovely. Have a great evening.
Oooh what a sweet time you all seem to have had.
I have to admit, though, when you referred to the photo of your hubby -- I was not sure which one he was.
Was he the VERYYYY Tall man? or the VERRRRY short man :) I am teasing you ...it was a perspective that through me off.
But great shots for sure :)
If you have a moment — I would love you to stop by and say hi!

Great setting indeed! That's what wonderful backyards are here for, right!
Romantic? I should say so. And yes, those are some dashing gentlemen. You captured some great moments at the lovely setting, I can't wait to see the table settings tomorrow. That last photo of the flowers and pumpkin is absolutely fab!
I enjoyed scrolling ALL THE WAY down the page through clever gift wrappings, fall celebrations at the pumpkin patch...love that yellow truck. The prize winning white pumpkin...another fabulous photo and cutie pie grandchild.
GO GRANDMA!
This was a lovely party. The grounds are so pretty.
Loved your gift.

What a wonderful post! I LOVE weddings & since this was just the reception... even the better for visiting. Kind of cool that you got to go with them when they got married. And I did like the black white & silver gift you did for them.
Those photos & sayings on your sidebar about family is precious!!!! Love them! I am going to look at some of your other posts. Your blog is really wonderful.
Congrats to the newly weds. Everything looks so pretty - great pictures! They have a beautiful yard.

Anyone can join in on my "White Wednesday" theme. I didn't use the Mr. Linky only because when I first started I didn't know how. I have a list of participants on my sidebar and if you'd like to be added just let me know. Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.
