through the countryside...
(He says they make a mean bologna sandwich here. It's not Oscar Mayer either.)
Leiper's Fork is small, but it's known for so much! Puckett's Grocery is one thing it's known for, but not for groceries as you would imagine, but for a great place to eat from juicy hamburgers to scrumptious seafood.
As you can see, Sunday, their special was Tennessee sausage and cabbage.
Leiper's Fork has antiques,
picturesque church steeples,
interesting shops in old antebellum homes,
classy art galleries,
Many types of folks call Leiper's Fork their home; country folks, city folks, music lovers, and artists.
This tiny town boasts some famous people too. Have you heard of Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, the Judds (Naomi, Wynonna, and Ashley), Michael McDonald, or Kix Brooks? That's right. They all call little Leiper's Fork home.
Hope you enjoyed our Sunday drive. It just goes to show you, you don't have to drive too far from home to take a little vacation. :)
Now bike on over to Susan's Outdoor Wednesday to see many other interesting places!

This is truly one of the things that I love about blogging, getting to visit other parts of the country from the comfort of my own home.
Beautiful pictures! What the heck is sausage cabbage? Never heard of it :)
Oh, these pictures are so wonderful. It looks like it was a beautiful day. I'm still have so much to learn about blogging, but I have to ask, how do you get your pictures so big on the post, and what kind of camera do you use? You're very talented.
Blessings,
Marcia
To Marla, even though I'm a Tennessee gal through and through, I have never had sausage and cabbage, but I think it's sausage with cabbage. :)
To Marcia, first of all thank you so much for your kind words. For your question on sizing photos, I direct you to the master, Mary. http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/2009/04/big-picture.html.
To your second question, I have a Nikon D50 and I love it, but I'm still learning.

Marsha, what a fun drive with you. I happen to be a frog leg lover. Well, sort of. They taste a lot like chicken. Now, excuse me as I hop on my Harley and head on over there for a dozen or so!

The first time I drove through Leiper's Fork, I had never even heard of it.
