There was a man all alone;
he had neither son nor brother.
There was no end to his toil,
yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
"For whom am I toiling," he asked,
"and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?"
This too is meaningless—
a miserable business!
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:8-10

Your photo is so fitting for this scripture... a male and female cardinal. Appropriate for the season, as well. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice scripture, I love how you have the picture up there, my hubby and I were watching a male and female cardinal about 1/2 hour ago eating and the male was putting the food in the females mouth feeding her..How precious is that. And then you have this verse and picture.. God is so good. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.
Blessings,
Jolyn

Beautiful picture and scripture. Some years ago when my hubby was working as a nursing home administrator, he passed a room where two elderly ladies sat reading scripture. One of them had just read this verse aloud and they were both laughing and commenting how much more important this verse seemed at their age :o)
Your picture is amazing. Love it!! Thanks for sharing. Great verse to go with it too. Love & blessings from NC!
Yes, very true. We all need each other. My hubby is from TN and I lived and worked there for 3 years. I drove around the mountains seeing patients (and getting lost) Lol..
Hubby Ray is an ex-marine and served in Vietnam. He recently returned there to leave his ghosts at rest.
We are now living back in Queensland, Austrlia.
God bless you, and have a wonderful Sunday.
We can learn so much from these simple scriptures! Thank-you for sharing them today.

I love cardinals and the fact that they always stay close to one another and one will call out to the other. Plus, they are lovely to look at as well.

Beautiful picture of cardinals! My favorite bird since I was a child! Wonderful scripture too....God bless.
What a lovely photo, Marsha. And what a great thought for the day and that is why I eventually married again after Patricks death. It took four years to even think about it..but I am glad I did it. After Franks death, it was easier and I knew I didn't want to be alone. I am happy I made that decision also! Alone is not good, at least not for me.
Thanks for sharing such a well put thought!
Hugs,
Mona
